  • Full-Time | Permanent.
A leading commercial vehicle dealership is seeking a skilled and motivated Night HGV Technician to join its dedicated after-hours workshop team in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional, well-equipped environment with a respected name in the heavy vehicle sector.

You will play a key role in ensuring customer vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards, minimising downtime and keeping fleets safely on the road.

HGV Technician Working Hours:
  • Tuesday to Friday
  • 6.00 pm to 6.00 am
  • 46 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid)
Key Responsibilities as a HGV Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards
  • Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • Work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
Ideal HGV Technician Individual:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified HGV Technician (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working on HGVs
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude

Requirements for the HGV Technician:
  • City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ HGV technician experience preferred
  • Main Dealer experience advantageous but not essential
  • Right to work in the UK.
