Service Advisor Opportunity for an Automotive Dealership in St Peter Port, Guernsey (Channel Islands)

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours/week across rotating shifts between 08:00 – 18:00 (1-hour lunch break daily)
  • Shifts: 08:00 – 17:00 or 09:00 – 18:00
  • Base Salary: £35,000 per annum + up to £5,000 bonus (£40,000 OTE)
  • Housing Options: Free Company Accommodation (employee pays utilities) OR a £1,500/month Housing Allowance
  • Relocation Support: Full housing permit sponsorship & relocation support
The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personable, organised, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing dealership team in St Peter Port, Guernsey. We are building a tight-knit, high-performing frontline team (operating at a capacity of 4 Technicians, 2 Service Advisors, and 1 Parts Specialist). We are looking for a reliable, grounded individual with strong character who excels at delivering exceptional customer service in a high-quality automotive environment.

Dual-Application / Couple Perk: Relocating with a partner who is a Vehicle Technician? We are currently recruiting Technicians alongside this position and are open to dual-hire applications or training an advisor directly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Reception: Greet customers warmly, book vehicles in for routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics, and manage daily loan vehicle allocation.
  • Service Coordination: Act as the key liaison between dealership customers, workshop technicians, and the parts department to ensure smooth workshop flow.
  • Upselling & Communication: Clearly explain technical health checks, routine maintenance recommendations, and repair quotes to customers.
  • Administrative Management: Process repair orders, handle invoicing, process customer payments, and manage service bookings.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Dealership Receptionist, or Customer Service Specialist within retail/hospitality is preferred (full training provided for individuals with exceptional character and customer management skills).
  • Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, strong administrative skills, and a professional, calm demeanour under pressure.
  • Licence: Valid UK/EU Driving Licence.
  • Right to Work: UK or Irish passport holders require no visa to live and work in Guernsey.
