Workshop Controller Required in Wimbledon
  • Pay: £35 - £37k Basic + OTE 
  • Hours:  45 hours per week Monday - Friday with Saturdays on a rota 
We are recruiting an experienced Workshop Controller to join our busy aftersales operation in Wimbledon, South West London. This permanent opportunity offers a basic salary of £35,000 to £37,000, with an achievable OTE of £42,000, alongside excellent benefits and genuine opportunities for career development.

Duties
  • Oversee the efficient operation of the workshop, including staff, facilities and workflow
  • Allocate work to technicians and monitor progress throughout the day
  • Motivate and support the team to achieve productivity, quality and performance targets
  • Track vehicles through the workshop and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaise closely with Service Reception to provide regular updates on vehicle progress
  • Maintain high standards of customer care and satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
  • Support a positive, collaborative and customer-focused working environment
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar aftersales position
  • A minimum of two years’ main dealer experience in a comparable role
  • Strong knowledge of workshop processes and vehicle repair operations
  • Proven ability to motivate, support and organise a team of technicians
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A results-focused approach with the ability to monitor and improve productivity
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Suitable proximity to Wimbledon, ideally within approximately one hour’s commute
