We are recruiting for a Diamond Cut Wheel Technician to join our client’s busy and well-established used car specialist bodyshop in Liverpool. This Diamond Cut Wheel Technician position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £36,000, Monday to Friday working hours and the opportunity to work with specialist CNC diamond-cutting equipment.

  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8am to 5pm
  • No weekend working

Duties:
  • In this Diamond Cut Wheel Technician role, prepare, refurbish and repair alloy wheels to a high standard
  • Operate specialist CNC diamond-cutting machinery and associated equipment
  • Use laser or digital mapping technology to scan wheel profiles and contours accurately
  • Carry out precision machining to achieve a high-quality, mirror-like diamond-cut finish
  • Strip, clean and prepare wheels before the refurbishment process
  • Apply protective lacquer and clear coatings to seal and protect refurbished wheels
  • Inspect completed work to ensure excellent quality and consistency
  • Identify wheel damage and assess the level of refurbishment required
  • Maintain equipment and keep the workshop clean, safe and organised
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets without compromising quality
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Diamond Cut Wheel Technician, Alloy Wheel Refurbisher or Smart Repairer
  • Experience operating CNC diamond-cutting machinery
  • Knowledge of diamond-cutting processes, laser mapping and wheel preparation
  • Good understanding of alloy wheel repairs, finishes and protective coatings
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, hardworking and professional approach
