Are you an experienced Workshop Controller with a passion for delivering high standards in a fast-paced environment? Our motor trade client is looking for a dedicated and highly organised individual to take charge of our large and busy Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) workshop, part of a well-established and respected PLC business.

As Workshop Controller, you will be the driving force behind our LCV workshop operation, ensuring the efficient flow of work through the workshop and maintaining exceptional levels of productivity, quality, and customer service. You will lead and support a skilled team of technicians and service staff, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a large, high-volume LCV workshop.
  • Allocate work effectively to technicians, monitoring progress and productivity.
  • Ensure repairs and servicing are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Liaise with service advisors, parts department, and customers to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Support and develop workshop staff through coaching and mentoring.
  • Monitor workshop KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
Workshop Controller Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or similar supervisory role in a commercial vehicle or Main Dealer environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of light commercial vehicles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
