Senior Technician / Workshop Controller Vacancy - Derby
  • Basic Salary: Up to £50,000 (Depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Our client has an amazing opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Technician to join their busy workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small team in a busy, well-equipped environment, while still remaining hands-on with day-to-day mechanical work.

The company has been continuously growing, thriving in the used car industry, with a strong reputation and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities as a Senior Technician:
  • Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOTs (if qualified)
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
  • Perform air conditioning services and road testing
  • Complete work to manufacturer and safety standards
  • Accurately document work and follow workshop procedures
  • Lead and manage a team of 4–5 technicians
  • Allocate jobs and oversee workflow to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a high standard of service and quality control
Requirements of the Senior Technician:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Senior Mechanic
  • Confident in managing and motivating a small workshop team
  • MOT testing licence (desired)
  • EV/Hybrid qualifications (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own set of tools
