Diagnostic Vehicle Technician Required in Wimbledon!

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Hours: 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday (No Weekends)

Are you ready to be part of an exciting new project? A brand-new Fleet Workshop is opening in Wimbledon, and we are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and build a workshop from the ground up, offering your expertise and insight as a Senior Technician.

About the Role As the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, your role will focus on advanced diagnostics, servicing, and preventative maintenance, primarily on vans and light commercial vehicles. You'll be responsible for diagnosing complex faults and maintaining fleet vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are roadworthy and operational for our client’s customers.

In this new workshop environment, you'll work closely with management to set up the best tools and processes, helping to create an efficient, well-organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing complex faults on vans and light commercial vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools.

  • Performing routine servicing and preventative maintenance.

  • Carrying out repairs to ensure vehicles meet high standards of roadworthiness.

  • Collaborating with management to select workshop tooling and diagnostic equipment.

  • Implementing a smooth workflow to maintain high productivity.

What Our Client is Looking For
  • Level 3 City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar diagnostic-focused role.

  • Strong diagnostic skills with expertise in vans or light commercial vehicles.

  • A full, valid UK driving licence.

  • Own tools.

  • A proactive team player who is eager to contribute to the success of a new workshop.
