Our client, a large automotive accident repair group with multiple centres across South Wales and England, requires a Parts Advisor to join their busy centre in Hereford.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, as part of the role, you will ensure the Parts Department remains efficient, which will ensure the smooth running of the centre.

You will maintain effective liaison with other departments within the business and be approachable for all customers and suppliers to assist with queries.

You will update and notify the site manager of inventory control and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new or updated parts. Documentation will be a large part of the role, all paperwork and parts requisitions need to be completed accurately.

The Parts Department will be your responsibility, and it will need to be kept tidy at all times. It’s vital that all incoming deliveries are checked and placed in the correct places, kept securely and in good condition, and any discrepancies should be reported to the line manager.

In the first instance, our client is looking for Parts Advisors with recent or current experience working in the automotive industry and who have familiarity with vehicles.

Automotive parts experience, ideally working with a similar accident repair centre, vehicle dealership, or motor factor company, would be highly beneficial but is non-essential, and our client is very open to considering Parts Advisors from a warehousing/stores background in another industry.

You will need to be IT literate, given that you will work daily with an electronic parts catalogue system.

you will also ideally hold a UK driving license with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic manner.
