- Salary: £34,000 basic + £36,000 OTE

- Hours: Monday to Friday (overtime available)
Responsibilities of a Diagnostic Technician
- Perform advanced diagnostics and fault-finding using manufacturer and third-party diagnostic tools
- Carry out complex repairs on electrical and mechanical systems
- Support junior technicians and offer guidance when needed
- Accurately complete job cards and technical reports
- Liaise with service advisors and workshop control to ensure timely repairs
- Keep up to date with the latest technical bulletins and manufacturer training
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent)
- Proven experience in diagnostic work within a main dealer or reputable independent workshop
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, ECU fault tracing, and CAN bus networks
- Experience using diagnostic platforms (e.g., Bosch, Snap-on, Autologic, or OEM-specific systems)
- EV/Hybrid certification – highly desirable
- MOT Tester status – beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Basic Salary: £34,000
