Mobile HGV Trailer Technician - Derby
  • Basic Salary: Circa £44,000 (depending on experience)
  • OTE: Circa £54,000
  • Working Hours ; Monday- Friday 8:30 - 5:00pm
We are recruiting an experienced HGV technician to work for a popular and leading transport and logistics company. As a mobile HGV technician, you'll be out on the road, carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs at customer sites or roadside. It's all about keeping things moving and supporting customers quickly and efficiently when they need it most. You'll play a key role in delivering fast, reliable service that helps keep the fleet running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities as a Mobile HGV Trailer Technician:
  • Perform detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers
  • Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all compliance documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing product and industry training, including IRTEC, tail lift, BPW & SAF axle/brake training to continuously develop your expertise.
The Ideal Mobile HGV Trailer Technician:
  • Semi-trailer or Heavy Vehicle experience essential
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Qualification (or equivalent) essential
  • HGV Class 1 driving licence.
  • Car Driving Licence.
  • IRTEC accreditation.
  • EBS diagnostics experience, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems.
  • Welding certification.
  • Training or experience with axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, or JOST.
  • Tail lift training and experience.
  • Double deck or lifting deck maintenance experience
