Service Vehicle Technician Required in Cranleigh, Surrey
  • Pay: Up to £37.5k basic for Level 3 with MOT Tester qualification + £300-£400 monthly bonus (OTE, based on core hours, no cap) + £750 annual retention bonus (increasing yearly - enquire within for more detail)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid break); 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm (Saturday contributes to monthly bonus )
We are working with a well-established, family-run automotive Main Dealer alternative Car Garage in Cranleigh, Surrey, seeking a skilled Service Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Level 3 technicians and semi-skilled Vehicle Technicians looking to grow, as our client encourages applications from those with varying experience levels and offers on-the-job support to develop your skills.
  
Our client operates a busy workshop with 6 ramps and an on-site MOT bay, specialising in manufacturer-level servicing using OEM parts, timing chain repairs, engine rebuilds, and advanced diagnostics with tools. The team, led by an experienced Master Technician, prides itself on quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, maintaining a loyal customer base with excellent reviews.

Key Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards using OEM parts
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify issues
  • Carry out timing chain repairs, engine rebuilds, and other mechanical tasks
  • Assist with diagnostics using manufacturer-specific scanners and tools
  • Support software updates, module programming, and key programming
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
  • Uphold high standards of quality and efficiency while adhering to safety protocols 
Vehicle Technician Requirements:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification preferred; semi-skilled Vehicle Technicians with relevant experience encouraged to apply
  • MOT Tester qualification desirable but not essential (training available)
  • Passion for delivering high-quality work and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with diagnostics, manufacturer-level servicing, or complex repairs is a plus
