Diagnostic Vehicle Technician required in Droitwich, Worcestershire

Salary: £36,000 Basic + £46,000 OTE
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40-hour week with flexible working hours (3 shift rotas available)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a busy and respected main dealership in Droitwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your automotive career with one of the UK’s largest privately and family-owned motor retail groups.

Job Purpose: To carry out advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and high-level fault-finding on a wide range of vehicles. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all diagnostic and repair work meets the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and identify faults across various makes and models
  • Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards and within agreed timeframes
  • Interpret diagnostic reports and use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software
  • Support junior technicians with technical advice and guidance
  • Complete documentation and job cards accurately
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair requirements and time estimates
  • Maintain workshop equipment and ensure all health & safety protocols are followed
Requirements
  • IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician within a main dealer or independent garage.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills using up-to-date diagnostic equipment
  • MOT Testing qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Valid UK Driving Licence with minimal points
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest quality of work in a busy environment
