Salary: £36,000 Basic + £46,000 OTE
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40-hour week with flexible working hours (3 shift rotas available)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a busy and respected main dealership in Droitwich. Job Purpose: To carry out advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and high-level fault-finding on a wide range of vehicles. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all diagnostic and repair work meets the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics and identify faults across various makes and models
- Carry out repairs to manufacturer standards and within agreed timeframes
- Interpret diagnostic reports and use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software
- Support junior technicians with technical advice and guidance
- Complete documentation and job cards accurately
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair requirements and time estimates
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure all health & safety protocols are followed
- IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience as a Diagnostic or Master Technician within a main dealer or independent garage.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills using up-to-date diagnostic equipment
- MOT Testing qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Valid UK Driving Licence with minimal points
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining the highest quality of work in a busy environment
- Salary: £36,000 basic salary with OTE up to £46,000
