Our client a well-known medium sized franchised dealer group operating within Hampshire and surrounding areas for the last 40 years’ our currently seeking a Vehicle Technician for their well-known brand in Southampton.
They are a privately owned business with a very settled team, and a strong customer ethos, regularly qualifying with the top 20 dealerships within their brand for customer service. They are in the top 150 Motor businesses in the UK and can offer long term job security.
Our client represents a well-respected brand, with great product, a strong market share and a plentiful stock featuring a wide range of vehicles.
The applicant will have skills in all aspects of vehicle mechanics, repairs and servicing including, but not limited to, diagnostics and electronics. The applicant will be highly motivated and will be able to work with a degree of flexibility according to the needs of their team.

- A Competitive Basic Salary – Basic Salary up to £35,500

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client:
- Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards.
- Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
- Liaising directly with customers where appropriate.
- Providing support to less experienced colleagues.
- Attending regular training to update technical skills.
- Ensuring that the immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others.
What our client expects of their technicians:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
- Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
- Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.
- Ensuring adequate maintenance of tools, equipment, and other materials in the Workshop.
