HGV Technician Vacancy - Commecial Dealership Newark
  • Position: HGV Technician 
  • Location: Newark
  • Basic Salary: £19 - 19.50 an hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Frday, 40 hours
  • Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
My client is now looking to take on a committed HGV Technician for their Workshop in Newark. They are a large-scale independent distributor of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. A great company to work for, with a long list of benefits.

We’re recruiting for someone who can confidently maintain, service, and repair a wide range of Heavy Vehicles and Trailers to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work meets VOSA standards.
  • Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with the parts department to source and collect the correct components
  • Accurately record time, complete job cards, and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organised working area at all times
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge and attend training courses as required
Requirements:
  • Recognised Heavy Vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • IRTEC licence (highly desirable)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Awareness and understanding of health & safety in a Workshop environment
