Workshop Controller Vacancy – Taunton

  • Basic salary up to £40,000 - £45,000 OTE

A well-established automotive business in Taunton is currently seeking a Workshop Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in the motor trade who is ready to take the next step in their career or bring their leadership skills to a thriving and supportive environment. It is required that you have previous experience of working within the Motor Trade, in the Workshop or Senior Technician background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop and ensuring efficient workflow
  • Managing and supporting a team of technicians to meet performance targets
  • Allocating jobs effectively to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Liaising with service advisors and other departments to ensure clear communication
  • Monitoring job progress, maintaining quality control, and ensuring health & safety standards are met
  • Supporting the development and training of workshop staff
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician within the motor trade
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
