An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy and expanding accident repair workshop in Dumfries. - Inspect and assess damaged vehicles to determine repair requirements, costs, and timescales
- Identify and document the correct repair methods, creating accurate electronic and manual estimates
- Liaise with insurance companies to gain repair authorisation within agreed costings
- Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methodologies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures and insurer guidelines
- Work collaboratively with bodyshop colleagues to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and estimating systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence is essential
