An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy and expanding accident repair workshop in Dumfries. Responsibilities of this Vehicle Damage Assessor role:
  • Inspect and assess damaged vehicles to determine repair requirements, costs, and timescales
  • Identify and document the correct repair methods, creating accurate electronic and manual estimates
  • Liaise with insurance companies to gain repair authorisation within agreed costings
  • Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methodologies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures and insurer guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with bodyshop colleagues to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently
Requirements of this Vehicle Damage Assessor role:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / VDA within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and estimating systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Full Right to Work in the UK is required – sponsorship is not available
