  • Location: Halesowen
  • Salary: Circa £32,000 (Fully Negotiable) 
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM), and alternative Saturdays (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

A well-established Main Dealer in Halesowen is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Service & Parts Advisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize and develop your automotive knowledge, communication skills, and organisational talents in a supportive and professional environment.

This is a joint role carrying out both Service & Parts.

About the Service/Parts Advisor:

As a Service & Parts Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers, service technicians, and parts department. Your role will involve providing expert advice on vehicle servicing and parts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient shop operations.

Key Responsibilities as a Service/Parts Advisor:
  • Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns to determine service needs.
  • Provide clear explanations of required repairs and maintenance, offering professional advice.
  • Book and schedule service appointments efficiently, managing customer expectations.
  • Prepare service invoices, communicate estimates, and explain work carried out.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle status, repairs, and service recommendations.
Service/Parts Advisor Duties:
  • Assist customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for their vehicles, both in-store and over the phone.
  • Offer excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure stock levels are sufficient, and reorder parts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the workshop to ensure timely parts delivery for repairs.
  • Process orders, handle payments, and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry products, parts, and trends to provide informed recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department to promote safety and efficiency.
What our client is looking for in our Service/Parts Advisor:
  • Proven experience as a Service and/or Parts Advisor within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer literacy and familiarity with parts cataloging and dealership management systems.
  • Attention to detail to accurately identify parts and document customer interactions.
  • A valid driver’s license.
