Workshop Controller needed in Leamington Spa!
  • Location: Leamington Spa
  • Salary: Up to £42,000 basic (£45,000 OTE)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime available)
Our client, an established independent garage in the Leamington Spa area, is looking for an experienced and technically qualified Workshop Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy, professional workshop within a well-respected business.

The Role: As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work through the workshop, ensuring repairs and services are completed efficiently and to the highest standard. You will work closely with the technicians and service team to manage productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Your duties as a Workshop Controller will include:
  • Overseeing daily workshop operations and allocating work to technicians.
  • Monitoring job progress and ensuring completion within set timescales.
  • Liaising with the service department to manage workloads and priorities.
  • Conducting quality checks and supporting technicians with technical issues.
  • Ensuring accurate job cards, estimates, and invoicing through the workshop management system.
  • Using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to assist where needed.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements for the Workshop Controller role:
  • Currently working as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within a workshop environment.
  • Technically qualified (e.g. Level 3 or equivalent) with hands-on workshop experience.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
  • Confident using computer systems and workshop management software – PC literacy is essential.
  • A team player who takes pride in delivering a high standard of customer service.
Benefits you will receive as the new Workshop Controller:
  • £42,000 basic salary (£45,000 OTE).
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week – overtime available.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half.
