Our Client is a well known Used Car specialist, they have been proving a high quality customer focused service for over 25 years, sourcing vehicles for sale. They have a reputation for ensuring the business have the latest technology available to them, to ensure they are continually performing to the best of their ability. They are seeking a Workshop Controller for their expanding operations, and happy to consider personnel from Senior Service Advisor, Workshop Manager and other automotive backgrounds.

Duties of the Workshop Controller include:
  • Managing a team of workshop Technicians and support staff
  • Implementing workshop processes to optimise efficiency and productivity
  • Communicating effectively with the Service Reception and Sales departments regarding additional work
  • Assisting with job scheduling, considering job complexity and parts availability
  • Ensuring quality inspections and control measures are maintained
  • Keeping thorough and up-to-date technical knowledge to support diagnostic work as needed
Requirements for the Workshop Controller role:
  • Proven experience in Workshop control or Management within the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality awareness
  • Customer-focused attitude with good communication skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Hands-on diagnostic experience, ideally with a background as a Master Technician or Supervisor
