Key duties of the Night Shift HGV Technician:
- Conducting comprehensive repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles
- Performing routine inspections, including tyre rotations and oil changes
- Diagnosing faults using current diagnostic tools and methods
- Maintaining accurate records of repair work carried out
- Managing inventory and ensuring workshop cleanliness
- Providing emergency roadside repairs when required
- Completing all appropriate documentation and warranty claims
- Supporting junior team members with technical training and guidance
Candidate requirements for the Night Shift HGV Technician:
- Level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle repairs and diagnostics
- Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
- Full UK driving licence suitable for HGV vehicles
- Ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative
