Vehicle Technicians Required – Service & Diagnostic / Master Technician

Location: Independent Specialist Centre

Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
• 1 in 3 Saturdays, 08:00 – 12:00

Salary:
• Service Technician: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
• Diagnostic / Master Technician: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE

Our client, a well-established Independent Used Car Specialist Centre, is looking to recruit both a Service Technician and a Diagnostic / Master Technician to join their busy and growing workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, close-knit team that values quality workmanship, consistency, and long-term commitment.
 
Service Technician Role – £30,000 to £35,000 This position is ideal for a well-rounded Service Technician who can hit the ground running and work efficiently to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance work
  • Identify and complete additional repair work arising from servicing
  • Assist with vehicle preparation and basic diagnostic tasks
  • Work at pace while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently
Diagnostic / Master Technician Role – £40,000 to £50,000 This role suits a highly skilled Diagnostic or Master Technician with strong experience across multiple brands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out advanced diagnostics across a variety of vehicles
  • Work extensively with Hybrid and EV vehicles
  • Support and work alongside the existing Diagnostic Technician
  • Assist other technicians where required to ensure high workshop standards
  • Handle larger and more complex jobs arising from prep and aftersales
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Service Technician and/or Diagnostic/Master Technician
  • Stability in employment (ideally 2+ years with previous employers)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability (for Diagnostic/Master role)
  • Hybrid/EV training and experience (essential for Diagnostic/Master role)
  • Full UK driving licence (clean)
  • Own tools and own transport (essential due to location)
  • Ability to work well within a team and fit the business culture
