Our client, a well-established transportation company, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dedicated team. Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Complete diagnostic checks using modern tools and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken
  • Support in MOT preparation and vehicle defect rectification
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns when necessary
Requirements for the HGV Technician role:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role within the commercial vehicle industry
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage workload
  • Hold relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own tools are preferred but not essential
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality standards
