Our client, a well-established family-run business with a heritage dating back to the early 1900s, is looking to appoint a skilled Vehicle Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated professionals keen to develop their career within a reputable dealership environment. Their workshop, offers a range of advanced mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and electric vehicle work. If you are experienced with electrics and eager to learn and grow, this role could be the perfect fit.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician include:
  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle makes, including electric and hybrid vehicles
  • Working efficiently on complex engine repairs and electrical systems
  • Using computerised diagnostics and modern tools in a paperless environment
  • Assisting with recovery, collection, and delivery work when needed
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and customer service
  • Participating in team activities and support fellow technicians
Candidate spec for the Vehicle Technician role:
  • Proven experience in vehicle repairs, diagnostics, or electrical systems
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong understanding of hybrid/electric vehicle systems is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of electrics and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to develop skills further with manufacturer training
  • Computer literate with experience in using diagnostic tools and electronic documentation
