Workshop Controller - Located near Wigan  

Join our client's busy and reputable dealership network in Wigan as a Workshop Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee the workshop operations at a well-established multi-franchise dealership. If you are an experienced workshop professional seeking a role with variety, responsibility, and excellent career prospects, this is the position for you.

  • Competitive basic salary of £36,000 per annum, with an OTE of up to £40,000
  • Full-time, permanent position with hours of 44.5 per week
  • Hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with alternate Saturdays from 8.30am to 12.30pm

Key duties of the Workshop Controller include:
  • Managing large workshops loading and technician scheduling to optimise productivity
  • Overseeing daily workshop activities across multiple sites
  • Liaising effectively with parts and service teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues efficiently
  • Managing internal and prep work alongside retail tasks
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Upholding warranty processes and documentation in adherence to manufacturer standards
Requirements for the Workshop Controller position:
  • Proven experience in a similar workshop supervisor or control role within a multi-franchise dealership
  • Knowledge of Kerridge, RTC, or similar dealership management systems
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Good IT literacy and a passion for maintaining high service standards
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet targets
