  • SALARY: Negotiable pending experience, with a performance-related bonus providing on-target earnings up to £52,000 per annum. 
  • HOURS: 42.5-hour week. 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.

Our client, a large automotive accident repair centre based in Tewkesbury, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join their business. 

Working as part of a team and reporting to the General Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to use your technical expertise and attention to detail to produce high-quality results. Your daily responsibilities will include:
 
  • Understand the general principles of spray-painting technology, paint composition, paint mixing and the various methods of paint-spraying vehicles. Also, to update your knowledge regularly when product developments/improvements take place. Attend training courses as necessary.
  • Prepare vehicles fully before painting, to include masking, sanding, and other necessary preparation work. Spray paint to the required finish/standard, always having regard for customer care/satisfaction.
  • Always use the prescribed safety apparatus/clothing, attend company-arranged medicals and follow all necessary guidance provided by the medical professionals. Report any deterioration in health or vision to your manager without delay.
  • Keep all company tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition, paying particular attention to the reduction of any fire hazards.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.
  • To co-operate with colleagues and team leaders to ensure that common objectives and group targets are achieved.

In order to be eligible, you will need to have strong current or recent experience working as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer. Formal qualifications as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer and an ATA qualification would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider candidates with extensive "on the job" experience who are able to work to our client's meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving license with minimal points.
