We are seeking a professional and experienced Service Advisor to join our client’s well-established automotive service department in Colchester, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a background in independent garages or main dealer environments to develop their career within a dynamic and customer-focused business.

The Service Advisor will be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their experience is seamless from initial contact through to vehicle collection. The ideal Service Advisor will possess strong communication skills, excellent organisation, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service. If you thrive in a busy automotive setting and have the necessary experience, this role could be the perfect next step in your career.

Duties:
  • Welcoming customers in person and over the phone
  • Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and MOTs
  • Taking payments and handling invoices accurately
  • Answering customer enquiries and keeping them informed throughout the process
  • Working closely with technicians and the administrative team
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and up-to-date booking systems
Requirements for this Service Advisor role:
  • Experience within an automotive service centre or MOT centre
  • Confident in communication, both face-to-face and on the phone
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling payments and basic admin tasks
  • Good IT skills, including booking systems, email, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
