Managing Director / Operations Director Required for Digital Commercial Vehicle Company 

Hours: 45 hours per week - "Manager hours - do whatever it takes to get the business objective met 
Pay:  £80 - £120k basic - £150k - £200k Realistic OTE inclusive of Bonuses 
Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for scaling innovative digital commercial vehicle businesses? We are working on behalf of a forward thinking automotive retailer seeking a Managing Director to lead their rapidly growing forward thinking digital commercial vehicle retailer. 

The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic growth and operational excellence of the business. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable thinking big, working hands-on, and driving efficiency across a multi-site operation focused on online sales and national logistics.

Duties as a Managing / Operations Director:
  • Lead the strategic development and execution to reach 1000 vehicles in stock at any time within 18 months
  • Oversee the launch and operational management of multiple sites; one in the South and one in the Midlands 
  • Manage the online sales platform and ensure seamless digital customer experience
  • Implement scalable logistics and distribution operations across national sites
  • Drive sales, marketing, and operational initiatives to achieve aggressive growth targets
  • Build and develop a high-performing team capable of delivering on the company's vision
  • Maintain a focus on productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
Requirements:
  • Proven success in senior management roles within online automotive sales, ideally within the commercial or van market
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, online sales funnels, and e-commerce logistics
  • Experience managing high-volume logistics and national distribution networks
  • Strategic thinker with operational expertise and a hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to work independently, with a "think like it's your own business" approach
  • Knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry and online marketplaces such as Cinch or similar platforms
  • Track record of scaling operations and achieving rapid growth in a dynamic environment
