We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join a reputable family-run independent dealership in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and friendly environment.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while managing service bookings and advising clients on vehicle repairs and maintenance. This position offers a long-term career path with potential for progression, working in a positive team-oriented setting.

Benefits for the Service Advisor:
  • Competitive basic salary of £30,000 per year
  • OTE of approximately £35,000 with commission and bonuses
  • Stable, long-term career with growth opportunities
  • Family run atmosphere fostering team collaboration
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Saturday mornings on a rota, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
Duties of the Service Advisor:
  • Liaise with customers to understand their vehicle service needs
  • Book and schedule vehicle services and repairs
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships
  • Upsell additional services and parts where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow up on vehicle progress
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure efficient workshop operations
Requirements of the Service Advisor:
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of automotive services and repair processes
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Motivation to build a long-term career in the motor trade
