New Vehicle Technician or Dedicated MOT Tester opportunity in Barnstaple

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester looking to advance your career with a reputable Dealership in the Barnstaple area? We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician or MOT Tester to join a busy Service Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established team that values technical expertise and customer satisfaction.

  • Competitive basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum
  • Generous overtime opportunities at time and a half
  • Performance-based bonuses, with many technicians earning additional monthly incentives of around £10,000 extra
  • Ongoing manufacturer training and development programmes
  • Comfortable working hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
  • Optional Saturday overtime available
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
Duties:
  • Conduct Vehicle Diagnostics, Servicing & Repairs, according to manufacturer standards
  • Or Conduct MOTs exclusively 
  • Accurately identify faults and advise customers accordingly
  • Complete service and repair reports and necessary documentation
  • Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, to high standards, and within warranty guidelines
  • Assist with technical support and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Keep workshop areas clean and organised at all times
Requirements of this Vehicle Technician position:
  • Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician, with a minimum of two years’ workshop experience
  • MOT Testing with valid licence
  • Prior experience working in a Main Dealer or Independent Garage environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostics tools
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver excellent customer service
  • Commitment to ongoing technical training and professional development
