Key duties of the Bodyshop Manager include:
  • Oversee daily bodyshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Manage, motivate and develop the bodyshop team to meet and exceed quality standards.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct quality control audits to ensure customer satisfaction and repair excellence.
  • Control costs, manage budgets and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication and service.
  • Ensure all tools, machinery and workshop facilities are maintained to high standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and output.
The Successful Bodyshop Manager will have:
  • Proven management experience within a bodyshop or vehicle repair environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle body repairs, paint processes and industry standards.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and PPE protocols.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or ATA accreditation in Vehicle Body Repair desirable but not essential.
