Fast Fit Technician / MOT Tester
  • Location: Derby
  • Salary: £39,000 basic + £250 per month bonus (OTE £42,000)
  • Hours: 44 hours per week, 5-day working week (includes Saturdays)
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fast Fit Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and well-established automotive workshop in Derby.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where you’ll be carrying out MOT testing alongside basic servicing and light mechanical work. This position offers strong earning potential, stable hours, and a consistent 5-day working pattern.

Key Responsibilities as a Fast Fit Technician / MOT Tester will include:
  • Carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards
  • Perform basic servicing and maintenance work
  • Complete light mechanical repairs and inspections
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate documentation and job records
  • Work efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
  • Deliver a high level of customer service
Requirements that the Fast Fit Technician / MOT Tester will need:
  • MOT Tester licence (essential)
  • Level 3 qualification preferred, Level 2 with strong experience considered
  • Experience in a fast-fit or busy workshop environment
  • Competent in servicing and basic mechanical repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Full UK driving licence required
