HGV Trailer Technician Commercial Accident Repair Centre

  • Location: Nottingham
  • Salary: Circa £50,000 basic + Overtime
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trailer Technician to join a busy Commercial Accident Repair Centre in the Nottingham area. This is a Monday to Friday role offering a strong basic salary, excellent overtime potential, and the chance to work within a well-established and professional commercial repair environment.

This role would suit a skilled technician who is confident working on trailers and commercial vehicles and is looking for a stable, long-term position with strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, and maintain trailers including tail lifts and curtain siders
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and complete repairs efficiently
  • Prepare trailers for MOT inspections and compliance standards
  • Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and health & safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
  • Identify and report additional defects or repair requirements
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained at all times

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Trailer Technician or HGV Technician is essential
  • Strong understanding of trailer systems including tail lifts and curtain siders
  • Confident in fault finding, diagnostics, and repair work
  • Level 2/3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance (preferred but not essential)
  • HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence required
