Senior Vehicle Technician – Independent Garage
  • Location: Newark
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 basic
  • Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:30pm | Friday 8:30am – 1:30pm
  • Optional Saturday mornings available as overtime
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work within a close-knit and supportive team environment, carrying out a wide range of repairs across multiple makes and models. The workshop has a strong workload with plenty of hours available and is looking for someone confident carrying out heavier mechanical repairs and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of makes and models
  • Complete heavy mechanical repairs including clutches, cambelts, and engine work
  • Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out fault-finding and repair work efficiently
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within allocated times
  • Maintain accurate workshop records and job cards
  • Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team
About You:
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance preferred
  • Level 2 qualification with strong workshop experience also considered
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability essential
  • Experience carrying out heavy mechanical repairs including clutches and cambelts
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Reliable, hardworking, and motivated technician with high standards of workmanship
