Senior Vehicle Technician | Main Dealer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Senior Technician to join a busy main dealer in Nottingham. This is a great chance to work within a professional, manufacturer-approved environment where quality, safety, and technical excellence are key.

The successful Senior Vehicle Technician will be responsible for diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and vehicle testing, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards. This role is ideal for a technically strong technician who takes pride in accurate fault-finding and high-quality repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Complete electronic vehicle health checks (eVHC) and provide technical feedback
  • Perform pre- and post-repair inspections
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate records in line with company and manufacturer requirements
  • Comply with all Health & Safety and compliance regulations
  • Support apprentices and junior technicians where required
  • Participate in ongoing training and manufacturer development programmes
About You:
  • Level 3 IMI / City & Guilds qualified Vehicle Technician (or equivalent)
  • EV qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Experience working in a dealership or workshop environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Organised, reliable, and a strong team player
