Salary: Up to £35,000 basic + £40,000 OTE with performance-based bonuses
Hours: Monday–Friday 08:30–17:30, Saturday mornings (08:30–13:00) on rota

Join a reputable, family-run automotive workshop as an MOT Tester in Leatherhead, Surrey. This opportunity is ideal for skilled and motivated MOT Testers looking to develop their career within a friendly and supportive environment. Our client is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to accurately and efficiently conduct MOT inspections on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance are maintained.

Duties

  • Performing MOT inspections on a variety of vehicles in line with legal requirements
  • Ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards before passing the MOT
  • Maintaining accurate records of work carried out
  • Providing excellent customer service by explaining MOT results and relevant repairs clearly
  • Supporting the team with light servicing or additional automotive tasks as required
  • Working efficiently to ensure all vehicles are serviced promptly and to high standards
Candidate spec

  • Valid MOT test licence is essential
  • A clean driving licence is an advantage
  • Experience working across multiple makes and models of cars and vans
  • Proven background in fast fit or similar automotive environments
  • Good customer service skills and team collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail under pressure
