HGV Technician Vacancy - Worthing

We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established workshop based near Worthing, West Sussex. If you have a passion for working on a variety of heavy goods vehicles and are looking to develop your career within a professional team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of around £52,000 per year with an achievable OTE of approximately £60,000
  • Overtime paid at time and a half, with around 60 hours available per week to maximise earnings
  • Hours: (Flexible) 09:00 - 18:00 Mon - Fri with rota Saturdays & Flexibility with start & finish times. 
  • Company pension scheme and holiday entitlement as standard
  • Opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicle makes and models including Scania, Volvo, DAF, Iveco, Mercedes, and more
  • Use of advanced diagnostic tools such as Jailtest
Duties:
  • Service and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles
  • Conducting diagnostics and fault finding on all makes and models
  • Maintaining vehicle safety and compliance standards
  • Using diagnostic equipment including Techsta Jailtest and DMS
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician is essential
  • Ideally hold NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical or equivalent
  • Experience working on a variety of vehicle brands including large fleet vehicles
  • Good diagnostic skills and familiarity with systems such as Techsta Jailtest and DMS
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and compliance
  • Ideally have some industry experience with independent or fleet environments
