Duties:
  • Supervise and motivate a team of technicians and apprentices to meet daily targets
  • Review and prioritise the workload proactively to ensure efficient workflow
  • Assist the Service Manager in achieving departmental profitability and customer retention goals
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction through quality checks and effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DVSA regulations, health and safety standards, and OEM policies
  • Coordinate workshop activities and schedule work to meet customer needs and workshop targets
  • Support technicians during repairs, offering technical guidance, and producing technical reports when necessary
  • Maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers to ensure high standards are upheld within the workshop
  • Implement best practices to promote high-quality service and efficiency in the workshop setting
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Workshop Controller position or similar role within a dealership environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of industry standards and health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • A technically competent individual with an understanding of modern vehicle repair processes
  • A customer-focused approach with a drive to deliver outstanding service
