Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a rewarding opportunity in Exeter? Our client, a reputable franchised main dealer, is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This role offers a competitive basic salary of up to £35,000, with an on-target earnings of approximately £50,000. Enjoy consistent hours Monday to Friday with only a 1 in 3 Saturday rota, along with employee discounts and prospects for internal training and career progression.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle faults, performing routine maintenance, and delivering high-quality repairs. You’ll use modern diagnostic tools and computer systems to accurately identify issues and ensure each vehicle is serviced to the highest standards. Building strong relationships with customers and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations are also key aspects of this role.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Performing diagnostics and identifying faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Conducting routine maintenance such as servicing, brake repairs, suspension, and engine work
  • Completing all jobs to high standards and within designated timeframes
  • Using computerised systems for fault diagnosis and repairs
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • A valid MOT Tester qualification (desired)
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
