Service Technician – Milton Keynes - Independent Garage
  • Basic salary up to £37,440 (up to £18 per hour)
  • Overtime available paid at 2x rate (up to £36 an hour) 
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours)
  • Overtime: Optional, paid at double rate
  • No Weekends 
Our client, a well-established independent specialist garage in Milton Keynes, is looking to recruit a Service Technician to join its experienced team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built workshop, carrying out servicing, routine maintenance and light mechanical repairs on a range of premium vehicles.

Offering a strong hourly rate, optional double-time overtime and no weekend working, this is an ideal role for a technician seeking a better work/life balance without compromising on the quality of vehicles or workshop environment.

Responsibilities of a Service Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
  • Replace brakes, filters, batteries and other service components
  • Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required
  • Undertake light mechanical repairs as required
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard
  • Maintain accurate job records and adhere to workshop processes
  • Contribute to a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
Requirements of a Service Technician:
  • Previous experience as a Service Technician ideally within a main dealer 
  • A recognised qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance 
  • Strong servicing and maintenance skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and pride in producing high-quality work
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience working with premium or German vehicle brands would be advantageous but is not essential
