An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Van Technician to join a reputable family-run fleet workshop in Petersfield. This is a full-time, permanent role designed for a professional with strong commercial vehicle experience who is looking to enhance their career within a busy and dynamic workshop environment.
  • Pay: £38,000 - £42,000 Basic DOE 
  • Hours: 8.30 - 5.30pm Monday - Friday + lunch

Duties:

As a Van Technician, your responsibilities will include servicing and repairing a fleet of transit-style vans up to 7.5 tonnes. Typical tasks will cover routine maintenance such as brakes, suspension, and general servicing, along with more complex work including engines out and heads off work. The role emphasises first-time fixes where possible, working on the company's own vehicles sold to customers. You will operate using workshop tools, including specialist diagnostic equipment, and bring your own toolbox for daily use.

Requirements: 

The ideal individual will possess significant commercial vehicle experience, with a Level 3 qualification preferred but not essential if you demonstrate strong practical skills on working on Commercial Vehicles. Prior experience working on vans and similar vehicles is essential; MOT certification is not required. individuals must be able to work independently on a range of repair tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency. A full UK driving licence and a proactive attitude toward workshop work are also necessary.
