We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run classic car restoration specialist based in Alton, Hampshire, for the position of Classic Car Engineer. This is a unique opportunity for skilled automotive professionals passionate about vintage vehicles to contribute to the preservation of automotive history.

Duties of a Classic Car Engineer:
  • Carefully disassemble vintage cars, handling each component with precision and care to avoid damage
  • Reassemble vehicles meticulously, ensuring flawless fitment and structural integrity
  • Apply engineering expertise to reinforce or design brackets and components as required
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality restorations
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure restorations meet the highest standards
  • Adhere to safety and quality protocols throughout the restoration process
Requirements of a Classic Car Engineer:
  • Proven experience as a Classic Car Restorer or Automotive Engineer, with hands-on skills in dismantling and reassembling vintage vehicles
  • Strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, especially related to reinforcement and repair of classic car components
  • Exceptional attention to detail and delicate working approach
  • Enthusiasm for classic cars and automotive history
  • Relevant vocational or engineering qualifications in automotive technology or related fields
  • Experience working on post-war vehicles from the pre-1980s era is highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and meet project deadlines
