We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commercial Vehicle Estimator to join a well-established team at our client's head office in Hoddesdon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their career within the commercial vehicle and HGV damage assessment sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing accurate repair estimates, ensuring efficient repair processes, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Duties:
  • Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of damaged commercial vehicles and HGVs
  • Prepare accurate repair estimates for customers, insurers, fleet operators and third parties
  • Utilise industry-standard estimating systems such as Audatex and manufacturer methods
  • Identify all repair requirements including parts and labour operations
  • Liaise effectively with customers, insurers, engineers, parts suppliers and internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with workshop, parts and operations departments to ensure smooth repair progress
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal management systems
  • Negotiate repair costs with insurers and customers where necessary
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and uphold a professional, courteous approach at all times
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), Estimator, Damage Assessor or Commercial Vehicle Estimator
  • Prior experience assessing commercial vehicles and HGV accident damage
  • Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repair methods and processes
  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as Audatex
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Reliable, organised and able to perform under pressure
  • Professional attitude and customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
