An established and highly regarded main dealer in Northampton is looking for a Parts Advisor to join its busy and successful parts operation.

The Parts Advisor role operates within a fast-paced, multi-brand environment, dealing with workshop requirements, trade customers and counter sales, so the ideal Parts Advisor will be organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple enquiries and priorities throughout the day.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist workshop technicians, trade customers and retail customers with parts enquiries.
  • Identify, source and order the correct parts efficiently.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, returns and credits accurately.
  • Use computerised parts and dealership systems to manage orders and stock.
  • Liaise with suppliers and monitor outstanding orders and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and keep the parts department organised.
  • Deal with counter sales and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with the workshop to ensure parts are available when required.
  • Manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the parts operation.
Requirements:
  • Previous automotive parts or Parts Advisor experience
  • Previous experience using automotive parts, dealership or stock management systems would be a strong advantage.
  • Computer literate and confident learning and using new systems.
  • A switched-on, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
  • A full UK driving licence
