A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller / Warranty Administrator to join a successful and growing automotive dealer group in Dunstable.
The business is looking to strengthen its experienced aftersales team with someone who can take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the workshop, alongside handling warranty administration.
The main focus of the role will be Workshop Control, with Warranty Administration forming a smaller but important part of the position.
Responsibilities:
- Allocating work to technicians based on skills, workload and deadlines.
- Leading and supporting a team of technicians.
- Monitoring workshop productivity and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
- Checking job cards and technician write-ups are completed accurately.
- Costing additional work and supporting the sell-up process.
- Ensuring vehicles receive the required health checks.
- Liaising with Service Advisors to keep customers informed.
- Processing and submitting warranty claims accurately.
- Managing warranty payments, credit notes and warranty schedules.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman or similar.
- Experience managing or supervising technicians.
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair and workshop processes.
- Previous warranty experience would be advantageous.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail.
