Vehicle Service Manager - Gloucester
  • Salary: £38,000 per annum with a bonus scheme providing on-target earnings around £56,000+ per annum and maximum earning potential of £68,000 per annum for 200% performance and upper quartile achievement.
  • Hours: 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. No rota'd Saturday work; however, occasional Saturday mornings may be required, subject to business demand.

Our client, a multi-award-winning franchise-approved car dealer group operating with over 50 dealerships across the UK, is currently looking to recruit a Service Manager to join their Gloucester dealership and drive it forward.
 
Reporting to the Group Service Director and responsible for a team of 4 Vehicle Technicians and 2 Service Advisors, your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Accountable for all workshop, service, and parts department staff, you will manage, coach, and develop the team to reach their full potential and performance.
  • Planning, forecasting, and delivering sales targets.
  • Growing workshop utilisation and efficiency.
  • Be responsible for your own budget; you will relish the opportunity to drive the business forward.
  • Working closely with the head of business and department managers to drive the overall business performance
The successful Service Manager will live within a reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester and have strong recent or current experience working as a Service or Aftersales Manager within a small to medium franchise-approved car dealership. Our client is also open to considering Assistant Service Managers looking to take the next step in their career. Overall, you will need to be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client's reputation. You will need to be IT literate and have a UK driving licence with minimal points.
