- Location: Telford
- Basic Salary: £40,000–£45,000, depending on experience
- OTE: £50,000+
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Panel Beater with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join a professional accident repair environment where quality, safety and technical standards are genuinely important.
Duties of the Panel Beater:
- Repairing damaged vehicle body panels and replacing panels that are beyond repair.
- Carrying out repairs to chassis and structural components in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Using jigs, fixtures, welding equipment and other workshop equipment safely and correctly.
- Working from manufacturer repair methods, technical instructions and job card requirements.
- Ensuring structural repairs are completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Identifying any additional repair requirements and communicating these to the relevant manager.
- Taking care of customer vehicles throughout the repair process.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, ensuring vehicles are repaired correctly first time.
- Keeping tools, equipment and the workshop clean, tidy and safe.
- Working closely with other technicians and management to ensure repair schedules are achieved.
- Supporting and, where appropriate, mentoring less experienced technicians.
- Attending relevant training courses to remain up to date with modern repair techniques.
- A minimum of 3 years' Panel Beater experience.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body panel repair and replacement.
- Experience with welding, jigging and structural repairs.
- An understanding of manufacturer repair specifications and repair methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
- A reliable, professional and hardworking approach.
- A willingness to undertake further training and develop your technical skills.
- IMI Accreditation is preferred, while experience working with modern repair technologies such as aluminium and high-strength steel would be advantageous.
- Basic salary of £40,000–£45,000, depending on experience.
- OTE of £50,000+ including team/site bonus opportunities.
- Monday–Friday working hours, 8:00am–5:00pm.
