Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester Required in Aldershot for Family Run Service Centre 
  • Pay: £38,000 - £42,000 Basic DOE
  • Hours:8am - 5pm Monday - Friday only 
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a well-established family-run service centre in Aldershot, Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to become part of a reputable team, offering a blend of MOT testing and vehicle servicing. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Class 4 MOT tests and performing general servicing when MOTs are not scheduled, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary between £38,000 and £42,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours from 8am to 5pm with no weekend or Bank Holiday work

Duties:
  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests on cars and light vans in accordance with DVSA standards
  • Conduct vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as required when not performing MOTs
  • Ensure all MOT testing activities comply with the DVSA MOT Testing Scheme and relevant guidelines
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational status of MOT bay equipment and facilities
  • Complete accurate documentation and record all vehicle test data efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance checks, safety inspections, and post-repair vehicle assessments
  • Assist with additional vehicle examinations and diagnostics during unfilled MOT appointments
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the MOT scheme at all times
  • Support the team in delivering high-quality customer service and technical expertise
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified MOT Tester with a Class 4 certification
  • Previous experience conducting MOT tests and vehicle servicing
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs
  • Ability to work efficiently within a busy automotive environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
  • Valid MOT Tester’s certificate or a recent lapsed qualification subject to re-examination
