We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Plant / Commercial Mechanic to join our client’s team in Petworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to work within a dynamic and ever evolving workshop environment, providing repair and maintenance services for a range of plant and commercial vehicles. The ideal individual will have a strong background in plant or HGV maintenance, with a proactive attitude and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Pay: £18 - £21 per hour + overtime
  • Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

Duties:
  • Conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance on plant machinery and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions efficiently
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and servicing tasks
  • Work independently or as part of a team, adapting to the demands of the role
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Support the mobilisation of mobile service vans and workshop tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or HGV Technician with at least 2 year in a similar role 
  • Full UK driving license, preferably with HGV or plant machinery qualifications
  • Strong organisational skills and a flexible approach to working hours
  • Self-motivated with a focus on safety and quality
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
