Our client, a large franchise-approved car dealer group with over 50 sites nationwide, is currently looking to recruit a Service Advisor to join one of their multi-franchise locations in Oxford.
  • Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, pending experience, plus performance-related bonuses providing on-target earnings around £36,000 per annum. 
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am-6:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm (currently no Saturdays, but this is due to change in the future).

Reporting to the Service Manager and working alongside a friendly front-of-house and a workshop team, you will be providing a professional service to customers whilst their vehicle is with us, and tracking its progress through our workshops. Liaising with colleagues within the workshop and parts department. Providing customers with additional work requirements and costs. Scheduling and recording work whilst maintaining an efficient and courteous manner. In the Service Advisor role, you will provide exceptional administrative support to the aftersales team by assisting with file auditing, booking services, preparing orders, invoicing and registering new cars.

Do you need previous Service Advisor experience? In short, no:

The successful individual would ideally be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills, resulting in total customer satisfaction. Very strong organisational and IT skills would be of high priority. Any experience with the Kerridge DMS system or with Onelink would be beneficial. Current or recent experience as a Service Advisor would be highly advantageous to our client; however is non-essential provided you come from a strong customer service/sales-oriented background and are interested in undertaking a new challenge in the motor trade, as full training would be provided. A full, clean UK driving licence with minimal points is essential, though.
