We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client’s team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to become a vital part of a growing organisation that values career development, offers stability, and promotes a positive working environment. As the HGV Technician, you will play an essential role in maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Duties:
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, general servicing, and fault diagnosis
  • Carry out repairs on all aspects of commercial vehicles booking into the workshop
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and present them for testing
  • Perform roadside breakdown and recovery assistance
  • Liaise with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Test drive vehicles as necessary to ensure repairs meet required standards
Requirements:
  • Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience working with commercial vehicles
  • Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is desirable but not essential
  • Qualified Roadside Recovery Technician is advantageous
  • Positive attitude, motivated, and reliable approach to work
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor trade sector
